Saturday, May 6:

 

-Election Day, 7:00am-7:00pm, 1 Community Circle Drive

Come out and vote! Elections will be held all day for MISD School Board of Trustees and Justice of the Peace

 

-The Midlothian Market, Heritage Park, 234 N. 8th St., 8:00am-12:00pm

Held in the historic downtown every 1st and 3rd Saturday, The Midlothian Market is an open market of crafts, food, and handmade vendors. Located next to the Larkin Newton log cabin, come out and enjoy the nice weather while shopping!

 

-Spring Garden Tour, 9:00am-4:00pm

Stroll through the lavish landscapes and plush private gardens of homes throughout Ellis County. The 1st Annual Spring Garden Tour will take you through Waxahachie, Midlothian, Ovilla, and Palmer. This event is hosted by the Ellis County Master Gardeners and they will have someone at each site for any questions or conversations. Tickets can be purchased at each tour site. They are $10 for adults and $3 for children. There is a 50% discount for military and senior members.

 

Tuesday, May 9
-City Council Meeting, City Hall, 6:00pm

The Mayor and six Council members hold meetings the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.

 

Saturday, May 13

 

-Lions Club Pancake Breakfast, Midlothian Civic Center, 7:00am-11:00am

Join the Lions Club for food, fellowship, and fundraising!

 

-8th Street Dance, Downtown Midlothian, 7:00pm-10:00pm
Come downtown for the annual spring concert! This year’s band is Le Freak. Admission is free.

 

Saturday, May 20

 

-Heroes of Midlothian 5th Annual 5K, MISD Multi-purpose Stadium, 7:00am-10:00am

Run or walk to honor local police, fire, and military families. Early registration is $25 and ends on 5/9. The price after this date goes up to $30 and you can register here.

All proceeds will benefit first responders and their families and help to fund the scholarship program.

This month’s concert will feature Goodtimers Band as well as area entertainers. There will also be a bake sale, 50/50 split, and concessions to raise support for the families affected by the recent tornadoes.
