Springtime Events in Midlothian

Spring is in the air and summer is just around the corner. Here are some of the exciting things that are blooming and booming around Midlothian.

Midlothian Wine & Arts Festival

April 28th, 2018 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Downtown Midlothian

The Downtown Area will be the happening place to be this weekend as we celebrate springtime with the Wine & Arts Festival. If you aren’t a wine drinker, there is still plenty to do during the festival. Several live bands, including Dean Seltzer & The Red Neck Mothers, as well as Center 313. Coming for the food? We have food trucks! We will also have an inflatable park for the kids.

The festival is FREE. There is a Wine Walk from 4pm-8pm that costs $25 per individual ticket. Tickets are available at The Chamber’s Website.

Heritage Jaguar Classic Car Show

May 5th, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM

MISD Multi-Purpose Stadium, 1800 S. 14th Street

Springtime is the best time to scrub up those classic cars and join us “Gear Heads” for the Heritage Jaguar Classic Car Show. We will be located at Midlothian Stadium, just off of Highway 287. Entrance to the event will be off of 14th street. Signs will be posted. Trophies will be awarded to the Top 25 cars. Every make and model is welcome.

Don’t have a classic car? There is so much for the entire family to do. There will be local vendors, food, music, face painting and bounce houses for the kids. You can also test drive a car or two from the Waxahachie Ford Drive Team. For every test drive, Waxahachie Ford will donate  $25 to the Heritage Jaguar Band!

Registration for Entering your car is free, but we would LOVE for you to test drive one of the vehicles from the Ford Drive Team and help support the band.

8th Street Dance- Le Freak 

May 12th, 2018 from 7 PM to 10 PM

Downtown Midlothian, 8th Street

The 11th annual 8th Street Dance, featuring disco band Le Freak, will be taking place again this year. This outdoor concert is guaranteed to give you disco fever! So bring your rhythm, your dancing shoes, and an appetite. We will have the food, fun, and music ready for you!

Admission is Free.

Wildflower Walk

May 19th, 2018 starting at 9:00 AM

Mockingbird Nature Park, 1361 Onward Road

With spring showers come wildflowers. Come join us for a Wildflower Walk, guided by volunteers from the Indian Trail Chapter of the Texas Master Naturalists. Bring some good walking shoes, weather appropriate clothing, and something to drink, but be aware that the walk will be cancelled in the event of rain.  The ½ mile trail will take approximately an hour to complete.

Midlothian Opry

May 19th, 2018 from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM

Midlothian Civic Center, 224 S. 11th Street

Come on out to the Civic Center for some good ole’ country and gospel music. Different bands featured every month. It’ll be a toe-tappin’ good time.
